Who we are

Our company:

Aditiv Solutions was founded in 2019 by a team of engineers experienced in the development of high-end metal additive manufacturing machines for the aerospace industry. Our founders identified a gap and an opportunity in the additive manufacturing market to make the technology accessible to more users.

The main purpose was to develop a range of metal 3D printers, based on Powder Bed Fusion technology, that can be used by a “wider” range of industries, without compromising on quality.

Traditionally, metal additive manufacturing was limited to highly specialised industries and use-cases. For most applications, designers and engineers could not afford to capitalise on the advantages of metal 3D printing. We believe this is changing.

We certainly do not promote 3D printing as a solution to all challenges, but firmly believe that the technology is largely untapped, and our systems are designed to address the challenges our customers have when using 3D printing.

Our hardware:

We pride ourselves on building machines to the highest standard that are safe; easy to use; simple to install and maintain; and cost-effective. All our machines have an open architecture, meaning that we do not limit the materials you can use, and you have full access to all process parameters.

Our flagship machine, the HYRAX, was built to operate just as well in a small manufacturing environment as in a large production plant. The machine is compact in size and cost-effective to buy, install and maintain. It requires almost no support equipment and runs on single-phase power.

Since the launch of the HYRAX, this innovative machine has already been recognised on a global scale. In 2021, Aditiv Solutions was awarded the international EUREKA label by the European EUREKA network, and in 2022, it was honoured with the prestigious Electra Mining award for the most innovative South African product of the year.

Our software:

A 3D printing machine is of course much more than just a piece of hardware. The real magic lies in software. Software to take a CAD design and convert it into an intricate piece of metal. Software that allows an operator to interface with his machine in the most ergonomic way possible. Software that interfaces a machine with the factory around it. Software to allow remote control of a “fleet” of printers in a production environment.

At Aditiv Solutions, we realise the value of software as an integral part of the solution. Our software solutions are unique, and our architecture is designed to support a new industrial revolution in manufacturing.
